NETGEAR ProSafe ™ 스마트 무선랜 스위치는 유선과 무선 네트워크 사용자들을 위한 무선 데이터 전송, 보안, 복합 서비스 등을 제공하면서 16개의 무선 액세스 포인트를 중앙에서 관리하는 다기능 무선랜 스위치입니다.

ProSafe™ 스마트 무선랜 스위치는 최대 256명의 사용자를 지원하며, PoE기능이 내장된 8개의 10/100Mbps 포트를 제공합니다. 한 개의 기가비트 이더넷 포트를 통해  네트워크 백본과 고속으로 연결이 가능하며, 802.1x, EAP-PEAP, EAP-TLS, 802.11i, MAC address, SSID 및 위치 기반 인증 등의 고급 보안 기능을 지원합니다.

RADIUS, LDAP 및 AAA Server 지원 등 다양한 보안 기능을 갖춤으로써 NETGEAR ProSafe™ 스마트 무선랜 스위치는 철저한 보안 문제를 해결하면서 유선과 무선 접속을 통합하는 차세대 유무선 통합관리 솔루션입니다.

유연한 설정 및 관리
WFS709TP는 기존 네트워크 인프라에 손쉽게 추가 설치가 가능하며, 귀사의 모든 무선 네트워크 인프라를 통제, 관리, 설치 및 모니터링을 중앙에서 가능하게 합니다. WFS709TP는 Master/Local 설정 모드를 지원하며, Standalone Switch로서도 작동하고, 여러 개의 무선랜 스위치가 계층적인 구조로 상호 연동이 가능합니다.

실제로, 전체 무선 네트워크를 위해 모든 설정과 보안 변수들을 중앙에서 통제가 가능한 ‘Master’ 모드로 손쉽게 설정이 가능하며, ‘Local’ 모드에서는  계층적인 구조의 특정 지점을 담당하는 스위치로 작동되도록 무선설정을 세분화하여 설정할 수 있습니다.

스마트 무선랜 스위치 솔루션은 Redundant master 로 설정된 무선랜 스위치의 경우 최대 32개의 액세스 포인트를 지원하며, non-redundant master 혹은 local 모드로 설정시 최대 48개의 액세스 포인트를 지원합니다. Standalone 스마트 무선랜 스위치는 최대 16개의 액세스 포인트를 지원합니다.

IntelliFi™ RF 관리 기능
네트워크의 구조가 성장하는 기업에 최적화된 NETGEAR 스마트 무선랜 스위치는 넷기어 고유의 IntelliFi™ Radio 관리기능으로 끊김 없는 무선 커버리지를 제공합니다. IntelliFi™ Radio 관리기능은 무선 전송파워 레벨, 채널, 로드밸런싱 및 전파간선 회피등 모든 Radio 관련 설정을 자동으로 조절하는 기능을 제공합니다. 또한 VoIP와 같은 어플리케이션을 위해서 NETGEAR 스마트 무선랜 스위치는 Call admission control, Voice-aware fast-roaming 및 강력한 QoS 기능 지원하여 Wi-Fi 폰, VoIP폰, SIP폰등과 같은 단말을 위해 자유로운 이동성과 향상된 통화품질을 제공합니다.
 

무선 스위치 전용 AP
네트워크상에서 무선 사용자들은 중앙에서 무선랜 스위치를 통해 제어되는 다수의 액세스 포인트를 통해 간편하고 쉽게 끊김없이 자유로운 무선 로밍 서비스를 경험할 수 있습니다. 모든 사용자들의 보안 및 이동 정보 등은 중앙의 무선랜 스위치를 통해 알 수 있으며, 각각의 액세스 포인트들은 WFS709TP까지 무선 트래픽을 받아들이고,  IP터널링을 통해 보안이 강화된 상태에서 무선 전파를 조절하게 됩니다.

NETGEAR 802.11a/g Dual Band Light Wireless AP(WAGL102) 및 NETGEAR 802.11g Light Wireless AP(WGL102)는 WFS709TP를 지원하는 맞춤형 AP입니다.

WFS709TP는 또한 기존 NETGEAR의 무선 AP인 WG102, WAG102 모델을 http://support.netgear.com/에서 펌웨어 업데이트를 통해 무선랜 스위치의 전용AP로 사용할 수 있습니다.

RF Planning Tool
다기능 RF Planning Tool을 통해 모든 관리자는 각층의 구조적인 이미지와 치수, 층수, 빌딩 구조, 커버리지 및 기타 장애 요소들을 미리 등록하여 통제할 수 있습니다. Planning Tool은 각 빌딩의 미리 예측된 RF 특성에 따라 AP들의 최적의 위치와 전송커버리지, 출력등을 설정하고 컨트롤 할 수 있습니다.

게스트 접속 및 Redundancy
AP를 통해 접근되는 무선 사용자는 게스트 접속권한을 통해 사내 네트워크에서 허용되어진 부분까지만 접속이 가능하며 중요한 내부 네트워크 상의 데이터로는 접근이 불가하도록 통제가 가능합니다.

네트워크 복원력을 요구하는 어플리케이션을 위해 WFS709TP는 산업 표준 N+1 무선 Controller Redundancy 및 AP Redundancy를 위한 AP Interleaving 기능을 가진 Fault-tolerant 기능을 지원합니다.  이러한 기능들은 어떤 지점에서의 AP에 문제가발생하여도 최적화된 무선 네트워크 접속이 가능하도록 도와줍니다.
